2008 Puligny Montrachet Les Combettes

(this was bottled in March) Bright yellow. Very ripe aromas of apricot, dried fruits and clove. Supple, suave and very rich, with its attractive sweetness nicely balanced by ripe acids. For all its richness, this is less exotic than the Chevalier-Montrachet and shows more tension and force. The persistent, slightly aggressive finish shows a saline, minerally quality.
