Score 90/100 · Drink 2022-2028, Jeb Dunnuck, Feb 2022
Moving to the reds, the 2019 Saint Joseph comes from two separate terroirs near Chavanay and was all destemmed and aged a year in older barrels. Crunchy blackberry and black raspberry fruits, peppery herbs, subtle smoke, and violet notes emerge from this medium-bodied, fresh, lively, wonderfully elegant Saint Joseph geared for drinking over the coming 4-6 years.
