Tasting notes
Verduno. Maturing mid ruby with bricky rim. Brooding and a little rich and surprisingly youthful on the nose. Suave, full raspberry fruit on the palate perfectly balanced by ripe acidity and long coating tannins. Enormously long aromatic, complex fruit finish with a full spread. (WS)

The 2017 Barolo is an attractive, mid-weight wine. Sweet dried cherry, rose petal, cinnamon and blood orange are some of the many aromas and flavors that grace this translucent, mid-weight Barolo. Silky and gracious, 2017 is quite expressive today. I would prefer to drink it over the next decade or so.
Verduno. Healthy mid ruby. Subtle, savoury cherry and cranberry nose that is still a little closed. Juicy red-fruit palate with gripping tannins just turning up on the finish. Great freshness and elegance. A tiny bit austere, but this is bound to age well. (WS)
Light bricky ruby. Quite evolved on the nose, with plenty of undergrowth and sweetly spicy. Light-bodied, dry stony texture and finely fresh. A little bit lean overall. (JH)
