Tank sample. Horribly heavy bottle. A little bit aggressive on the nose. Not sure if that is the reduction or maybe it's temporary SO2. And then a little bit phenolic on the palate making it rather hard overall. (JH)

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru has a pretty bouquet with more personality than the Les Chaumées: orange blossom mixed with pear and light waxy aromas. The palate is lightly spiced on the entry, the concentration countered by a fine bead of acidity and a fresh ginger finish sealing what is a well crafted Chassagne. Recommended.
