Score 92/100 · Drink 2017-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016
From a cooler, more difficult vintage, the 2014 Hermitage from Colombier is a beauty! Sporting an inky purple color, it offers classic black and blue fruits, crushed rock, graphite and spring flowers with a hint of barrique in its medium-bodied, fresh, elegant, profile. Still young and tight, it needs short-term cellaring and will have 10-15 years of overall longevity.

A little sweet and soft. Doesn’t really taste as ambitious as a Hermitage Blanc should be. Hot, sweet end. (JR)

Peppery, sweet fruit and quite generous oak glaze. Furry mouthfeel, bright acidity, dense flavour concentration. Has all the requisite severity of Hermitage. (RH)
