The sophomore 2017 Beaune Les Tuvilains 1er Cru is matured in 40% new oak. The tightly knit red cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet is quite minerally and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, plenty of sweet red fruit and a slight confit note on the finish. Impressive.
