Tasting notes
The 2015 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile de Vergelesses has a fresh and ebullient bouquet with crushed strawberry, wild cherries and something exotic. Brown sugar? Perhaps juniper? Very attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, fresh red berry fruit, very naturally balanced with a touch of spiciness coming through on the composed finish. Sure to be an approachable Pernand-Vergelesses, this is going to give plenty of drinking pleasure over the next 8-10 years.

Lifted and lightly peppery, fragrant and inviting with an attractive dusty overlay. Fine-grained texture, supple and juicy. Lovely tender fruit without immense power. Persistent though, and GV . (JH)
