Although initially quite delicate, the 2008 turns powerful and deep with exposure to air. The authoritative finish leaves a lasting impression. Good full red. Knockout nose combines pure red fruits, mocha, rose petal, red licorice and sexy oak tones, plus a hint of peach. Urgent and highly concentrated, offering an uncanny combination of richness and definition. The penetrating red fruit and floral flavors capture the energy of this vintage at its best. Finishes with firm, noble tannins and outstanding persistence. This should age in bottle for a long time.
