2012 Barbaresco Rombone

The 2012 Barbaresco Rombone is quite polished and refined, not to mention quite a bit more open-knit that is often the case. Sweet floral notes meld into red cherry, cherry pit, mint and wild flowers. Translucent and expressive, the 2012 Rombone is a good choice for drinking over the next few years. As is typical of the year, the Rombone is not as deep as it usually is, but in exchange, there is plenty of near-term appeal.
