The 2018 Beaune Blanc bursts with aromas of waxy citrus oil, green apples and white flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, textural and enveloping, with lively acids and a pretty core of fruit.

The 2018 Beaune Blanc Village comes from the lieu-dit of La Montée Rouge, both the Village and Premier Cru parts (the name is not mentioned on the label to avoid confusion). It has a tightly wound, waxy, linseed-tinged bouquet that opens nicely with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a gentle opening, plenty of tangerine and pineapple notes and a touch of lemongrass toward the finish. Drink over the next three to five years.
About the producer
Based south of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999, grouping all of Jean-Claude Boisset’s holdings under one name. The property has a total 40 hectares of vines, with extensive holdings in Vougeot as well as plots in six Grands Crus.
