The 2015 Barbaresco Manzola is beautifully lifted and gracious in the glass. Rose petal, sweet red cherry, mint, wild flowers and cinnamon are nicely woven together in this very pretty and expressive Barbaresco. As was the case last year, my impression is that the heat of 2015 helped produce a flashy, racy Barbaresco with relatively soft contours that will drink well with minimal cellaring. The 2015 is such an attractive wine.

The 2015 Barbaresco Manzola is a terrific example of the year. Pliant, open-knit and gracious, the 2015 is hugely promising. It is also one of the more succulent versions of this wine I can remember tasting. The bright, red-toned flavors that are such a signature of this wine are present, but the warm vintage has also softened some of the more angular notes that are often found in this Treiso Barbaresco.
