Vinfolio, Feb 2023
The Kistlers planted these 14 acres in 2012, and although the vines are still young they’re producing impressive fruit. This is a remarkable wine – and so different to its sibling Cuvée Elizabeth. The fruit here is sweeter and darker with aromas of incense and an exoticism, yet it’s still bright and crunch on the palate with elegance. There’s a damp, earthiness here – fresh mushrooms, almost, that mingle with lapsang souchong and rose tea. Superb.
