The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Cuvée des Grives comes from 20-year old vines. It has a lovely bouquet, very pure, floral and very refined, quite mineral-driven. The palate demonstrates a good spine, fresh on the entry with a touch of balsamic infusing the dark berry fruit and a hint of cola on the aftertaste. Give this feisty young red a couple of years in bottle.

The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Cuvée des Grives opens in the glass with aromas of plums, red berries, cinnamon and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, with bright acids and powdery tannins, it's taut and reserved by comparison with the domaine's outgoing Gevrey bottling.
About the producer
Domaine Ponsot is one of the most well-known estates in the Côte de Nuits, famed for owning three of the original four hectares of the Clos de la Roche Grand Cru. The legendary domaine also produces another nine Grand Cru cuvées.
