The 2012 Barolo is a classic wine with firmly stitched aromas of wild berry, toasted spice, licorice and mild tobacco. This was a warm vintage and the wine shows a slightly more generous inner fiber and looser texture as a result. But it comes together with focused intensity in the mouth and this quality will certainly carry it through the next decade (or more) of cellar aging.

Just mid ruby. A little chalky and dusty on the nose, and herbal. Very locked and reluctant on the palate with concentrated, embryonic and monolithic fruit. Very tannic and in need of ageing. (WS)
