Vinfolio, Nov 2022

From vines east of the village, Heresztyn-Mazzini’s Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a pure and bright expression of the grape, with all the fruit-de-stemmed and no new oak. It’s pretty and floral with bright red fruit, the slightest grip to the raspberry-filled palate. Light-bodied and refreshing, it’s a lovely introduction to the domaine’s range.

The 2021 Bourgogne Pinot Noir comes from two vineyards in Gevrey and is completely de-stemmed. It has a light and slightly earthy nose that just needs a little more clarity. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red fruit, but there is a touch of bitterness on the finish at the moment.
