Tasting notes
The 2021 Chinon is pure, fresh and crunchy. It may be light on its feet, but it has a richness of intensity within its core. Refined and long, with spicy, Cabernet-like black fruit, the 2021 is really lively—like a bouncy ball.

Oooh, this snaps your fingers off. Box leaf and holly. Brightly bitter, wintery, curt tannins. Crunchingly muscular. (TC)
The 2021 Chinon is a little reductive at this very early stage, so give it a swirl. This is a lightly spiced, red fruited and floral Chinon. Light in body, it's for early drinking and has a sense of firmness on the finish. This is a much more classic expression of Chinon – 2020 was an explosion of seductive, ripe fruit, while this is more like a dart in its shape. It's an early drinking style, that needs some time to settle, more than the 2020 did due to its more austere classicism. Fermented in concrete.
