Aged for nine months in French oak. Tasted blind. Full-on sulphidic crackle with lemon juice and apple fruit. On the palate, it’s creamy and nutty. Excellent length. Star quality. (RH)

Planted in 1988. Pale lemon in colour. A very reduced, flinty, and stony nose. Acidity shoots straight through the finish. Lean and tight. A touch of sweet spice and salt on the finish. Bracing at the moment, could use a few years. (SCJ)

Lifted, exotic, sulphidic matchstick aromas backed up by tropical fruit. Very intense. This has immense style and intensity, with lots of winemaking sophistication. (RH)
