Tasting notes
The 2014 Coeur à Coeur is in a gorgeous place right now. Translucent and yet also deep, the 2014 has quite a bit to offer, as the aromas, flavors and textures are all super-expressive and yet also gently mellowed from time in bottle. Green pear, quince, chamomile, jasmine and mint are some of the many aromas and flavors that are woven together in this exquisite, alluring white.

Two terrific whites that Peter Michael should get more recognition for are the Sauvignon Blanc L’Après-Midi and the equal-parts Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon called Coeur à Coeur. The more limited production (only 166 cases) 2014 Coeur à Coeur Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon was debuted in 2007 from volcanic soils in their hillside vineyards. This wine is quite tight, with loads of minerality, honeysuckle poking its head through, along with tropical fruit, pineapple and lanolin. Give it time in the bottle and drink it over the following 10-15 years.
