2021 Riesling Smaragd Trocken Steinertal

Bottled in August, the 2021 Loibner Riesling Ried Steinertal offers a fascinating but also intense and elegant bouquet of lemon fruit and baby pineapple aromas intertwined with notes of crushed flint stones and even iodine. Round and lush but bone dry and straight on the palate, this is pure but mouth-filling, very elegant, aromatic and super attractive Riesling whose fruit is reminiscent of a perfectly ripe and lush pineapple. The finish is linear, fine and pure, very long, tight and bitter yet highly stimulating. This is a spectacularly good 2021 bottled with a moderate 12.5% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in September 2022.
