2016 The Stump Jump Grenache/Shiraz

D'Arenberg's 2016 The Stump Jump Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre is a substantial step above the 2015 version. It's still characterized by red fruit and accents of tar and olive, but it's less tart and shrill, with a medium to full-bodied palate and more richness and texture. The cherries and raspberries linger in tea-like notes on the finish. As usual, it's a terrific value.
