Even better, the 2016 Coeur a Coeur is a blend of equal parts Semillon and Sauvignon that has a crazily complex bouquet of melon, ripe limes, orange peel, and crushed rocks. Deep, nicely concentrated, and balanced on the palate, with beautiful fruit and ample underlying acidity as well as concentration, it’s certainly in the running for one of the top Bordeaux Blanc blends coming out of California today. Bravo!

The 2016 Coeur à Coeur the estate's Sémillon/Sauvignon Blanc blend, is gorgeous. Pliant and textured in the glass, with superb richness, the 2016 has so much to offer. I would prefer to cellar it for at least a few years. Today, the oiliness of Sémillon is very much front and center, but there is a good bit of Sauvignon citrus and floral character adding freshness as well.

A 50/50 blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, the 2016 Proprietary White Coeur a Coeur opens with lovely honeycomb, ginger, mandarin peel and allspice notes with a core of lemon curd, warm grapefruit and applesauce plus touches of fennel and elderflower. Medium-bodied, the palate reveals layers of honeyed citrus fruit and spices, with a satiny texture and long, lively, mineral-laced finish. 172 cases produced.

Blended of 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Sémillon, the 2016 Semillon / Sauvignon Coeur et Coeur offers up green apple, white peach, fresh straw and lemongrass notes with hints of cedar, bay leaves and baking bread. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is rich and densely packed with stone fruit and citrus layers, supported by a refreshing backbone and a pleasantly oily texture, finishing long with honeyed toast nuances. Drinking well now, this is a style built to age and should cellar gracefully for 8-10+ years. 172 cases were made.
