The Maculan 2018 Breganze Torcolato (packaged in a tiny 375-milliliter bottle) is a pure expression of the Vespaiola grape. It opens to a saturated golden color with shiny amber hues. The wine shows deep and intense aromas of caramel, honey and candied peach over a sugary, full-bodied mouthfeel. All of that exuberance and intensity is mitigated by the wine's balanced acidity in this 15,000-bottle release.

Lots of raisiny fruit on the nose with some aromatic cedar and dried nuts. Thereâs also some beautiful white truffle deep down in the mix. Full and silky, the syrupy fruit flavors soon give way to a bright, lemon and saline finish that lasts for minutes. Beautiful complexity to this. It has a bit of everything. Enjoy now, or hold.
