The light gold-hued 2021 Château La Tour Carnet Blanc is a winner, offering tart pineapple and crushed citrus aromatics, a touch of chalky minerality, medium-bodied richness, bright acidity, and a clean, dry finish. It's going to drink nicely right out of the gate, and my money is on it being an outstanding wine.
The 2021 La Tour Carnet Blanc, an equal blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon has a light grassy bouquet with touches of yellow flower and gooseberry. The palate is well-balanced though missing a little depth and tension. A welcome touch of spice on the finish, but it just feels conservative vis-à-vis its peers.
The 2021 La Tour Carnet Blanc is a gracious, airy Sauvignon Blanc-driven white. Lemon peel, flowers, chalk, mint and white pepper are all laced together. Taut and nervy, the Blanc has a ton to offer.
