2014 Barrail Saint Andre

The 2014 Barrail Saint André offers uncomplicated mulberry and crushed raspberry scents on the nose, perhaps just needing a little more brightness and intensity to come through. The palate is medium-bodied with a little hardness on the entry, although that should dissipate with time. There is decent structure here, the 60% new oak neatly integrated with a solid, classic finish. This has improved during its barrel maturation and deserves a higher score.
