Score 89/100 · Drink 2024-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Apr 2024
The second wine of this great estate, the 2021 Croix De Beausejour (Duffau-Lagarrosse) is based on 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc that was brought up just like the Grand Vin. It offers a vivid ruby hue to go with a pretty, perfumed nose of ripe black cherries, mulberries, sappy flowers, leather, and spicy wood, with medium-bodied richness and depth. It's a charming, forward, delicious second wine that has tons of character and should drink nicely for a decade.
