The 2021 Château Saint-Pierre (Pomerol) is rock-solid, and my money is on it being an outstanding wine. Based on 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc aging in 50% new barrels, it has terrific darker cherry and currant fruits, notes of tobacco leaf and chocolate, medium-bodied richness, and an elegant, layered mouthfeel. This also saw a kiss of stems in the fermentation.

The 2021 Saint-Pierre (Pomerol) is gorgeous. Dark, brooding and mysterious, the 2021 offers up a beguiling array of dark fruit, gravel, cured meats, smoke, incense and licorice. As always, Saint-Pierre is an especially potent, muscular Pomerol. There's a touch of whole cluster that needs to fully integrate, but this is promising.
A firm, medium-to full-bodied red with a compact core of lavender, blackcurrants, blackberries and cocoa. Firm and polished tannins. Very well structured for the vintage.
Violets and roses with plums and chocolate on the nose. The wine is plush, round and ripe, with soft tannins, that makes this already easy to taste and enjoy. The plummy finish is polished and fresh.
