Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Exceptionally pale straw colour. Simple nose but good floral lift. Made to please, early. Unusual. (JR)

Ripe honeyed citrus, pineapple, tangerines, and minty nuances all emerge from the 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, a wonderfully complete, medium to full-bodied sauternes that has terrific balance in its sugar and acidity, a deep, layered mid-palate, and ample length on the finish. Beautifully done, it's one of those dessert wines that doesn't hit you over the head but builds beautifully on the palate and has everything in the right place.
The 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey has a refined bouquet with dried honey, white flowers and light praline scents that open nicely in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with a tangy entry and fine acidity, honeyed in texture with orange pith, peach and quince toward the finish. This is delightful and pretty.
The 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, a blend of 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc, reveals a fruity, elegant bouquet of pineapple and exotic fruits and gentle hints of volatile acidity. Moderately weighted and juicy, it’s fresh and delicate with a short, ethereal finish.
