The 2021 Château D'Angludet checks in as 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and a whopping 23% Petit Verdot. It has a medium-bodied, mid-weight, yet nicely balanced profile to go with attractive red and black fruits, spicy wood, and a touch of dried herbs. It's enjoyable, balanced, and should be ready to go with a year or two of bottle age. I overrated this from barrel, but it's still a solid, enjoyable wine.

The 2021 Angludet is aged 50% in amphora and 50% in barrel, non-chaptalized with 30% new oak and a fair slug of Petit Verdot. It has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, melted tar and graphite aromas. There’s a spring in its step. The palate is light-bodied, but in not pushing this Margaux, it retains balance and freshness. It possesses a slightly gritty texture toward the Pauillac-like, graphite-tinged finish. This is not to be overlooked.

Aromas of dark berry compote, marmalade and undergrowth introduce the 2021 D'Angludet, a medium-bodied, soft and fleshy red that will offer straightforward near-term drinking.

Smoked, grilled raspberry and red cherry, touches of tomato leaf and peony, earthy but with real charm, good quality, cool climate feel with real charm. 26hl/h yield after frost. 50% amphora, 50% oak barrels.
