Tasting Notes
The 2021 La Chapelle De La Misson Haut-Brion checks in as a blend of 51.3% Merlot, 45.2% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc that hit 13.4% natural alcohol and is still resting in 27% new barrels. It has a terrific nose of bright cherries, framboise, spice box, and tobacco to go with a medium-bodied, elegant, juicy style on the palate. It's very much in the vintage and will drink nicely right out of the gate.

The 2021 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion is quite elegant and delicate in this vintage. Floral accents perk up a core of bright, red-fleshed fruit. the 2021 is nicely delineated, I just wish there was a bit more depth. Ultimately the 2021 feels a bit light.
The 2021 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion has a pure black cherry and wild strawberry bouquet, very well defined and revealing hints of vanilla pod with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine but firm tannins, and quite concentrated for a Deuxième Vin, leading to a nicely structured, slightly chewy finish. A gutsy La Chapelle.
The 2021 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is a blend of 51% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, it slips out of the glass with expressive notions of juicy plums, warm cassis, and red roses plus hints of cinnamon stick and underbrush. Light to medium-bodied, the palate has a racy backbone and rounded tannins supporting the delicate fruit, finishing earthy.
