Tasting notes
Located next to the Lauren site and planted in 2016 to a combination of Montrachet and Hyde Old Wente, the 2021 Chardonnay Park Avenue Estate kicks off with scents of crushed stone, lemon, black tea and some slightly richer notes of stone fruit. Medium to full-bodied, it's quite liner and direct, with a long, mouthwatering finish. (JC)

The 2021 Chardonnay Park Avenue is one of the most powerful wines in this lineup. It offers a striking mix of orange confit with earthy, saline and mineral notes. Like all the 2021s here, the Park Avenue exudes textural intensity and persistence. The palate-staining finish is unforgettable. (AG)
The second vintage to be bottled under this vineyard designationthe vineyard was planted in 2016Aubert's 2020 Chardonnay Park Avenue is a lush, full-bodied effort loaded with ripe-tasting stone fruit, set against a backdrop of white nectarine and fresh lime juice. Plump and creamy in the mouth, expansive and generous, it finishes with a savory hint of mocha. Sandwiched between Lauren and CIX, it's a parcel that should yield even greater wines as the vines age.
The 2020 Chardonnay Park Avenue is one of the more expressive wines in the range. Lemon confit, tangerine oil, mint and light honeyed notes are all beautifully knit together. The natural richness of Hyde clone comes through, albeit in the more restrained side of the year.
About the producer

The Aubert wines, particularly the Chardonnay, have a cult following – beloved for their rich, hedonistic style. Created by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 1999, the property makes some of California’s most sought-after Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all from single vineyards across Sonoma.
