Score 91/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2021
The 2018 Rosso di Montalcino presents a wildly captivating display of floral-laced crushed cherries with sweet spice, white smoke and hints of flowery undergrowth. It’s juicy and fresh, impressing on its remarkable purity and inner sweetness, with rosy red fruits offset by hints of sour citrus. Frankly, it’s hard to put the glass down, as this finishes with echoes of blackberry and sweet violet tones, just begging you to take another sip. This is delicious and deeply satisfying, so enjoy it with abandon. (EG)
