Bruichladdich harvests, malts and distils the barley from the 28-acre Octomore farm separately. Here on the edge of the Atlantic, the barley is completely exposed to the wild climatic conditions and salt spray. The resulting single malt is a pure expression of this farm, heavily peated and bottled at cask strength. The third expression in the 11th series was matured for five years in first-fill American whiskey casks. Bottled at cask strength, it is yet another remarkable bottling of this farm perched on the edge of the Atlantic.
