A solid Chassagne, showing the typical fleshiness of the reds produced here, though often with less finesse and airiness. Drink or hold.

Medium to full-bodied, lively and charming, with a sweet core of fruit, powdery tannins and a long, saline finish, it's well worth seeking out, even if Lamy's whites tend to command all the attention.

The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet La Goujonne Rouge has a delightful, fresh morello cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet. The palate is well balanced with a tart red fruit, fine depth and gentle grip on the finish. Playful, but perhaps short-term.
