Tasting notes
Another brilliant wine, the 2019 Chambertin Clos-De-Beze Grand Cru has everything – awesome aromatics, medium to full-bodied richness, a remarkable mix of purity and richness, and a great finish. Giving up a mix of red and black fruits, gunpowder, dried herbs, and sappy flowers, it has the 2019 vintage's more rounded, supple mouthfeel and is already expressive and drinking nicely. I like the focus and precision in the 2018 a touch more, but if this doesn't put a smile on your face, I don't know what will.

Two parcels totalling 0.3 ha. Very low yields. Cask sample. Serious savour and earthiness on the nose here – much less rich than the other stablemates tasted so far. Very sweet on the palate though with great impact and tightness – though some dryness on the end. These are wines very much built to last. (JR)
