Tasting notes
Why isnât this appellation taken more seriously? A very friendly and appealing white Burgundy, yet with plenty of sophistication. Smoky touch on the nose and a lovely, silky texture, the finish fresh, lemony and mineral. Drink or hold.

Notes of buttered orchard fruit and toasted almonds preface Latour's 2019 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru En Caradeux, a medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy wine with lively acids and a sweet core of fruit. It's a demonstrative, charming white in the making.
About the producer

The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
