Tasting notes
The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is generous, bursting with aromas of pineapple, sweet orchard fruit, honeyed peaches, white flowers and buttery oak. Full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's a ripe but lively wine with a demonstrative, sun-kissed personality.

The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a clean, precise bouquet displaying impressive mineralité and tension. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Fine focus here, good energy and precision leading to spicy and persistent finish. Maybe not as classy as other Bâtard that I tasted, but let's see how it will show in bottle.
Bought in 2009. Neighbour of the Hospices parcel. 7.5 rows (BL: ‘7.5 rows are better than nothing’.) Will be bottled April to June, ‘when it’s ready’. Very rich and golden-tasting. Golden Delicious apple flavours and still gaining weight. Long. It’s all on the end. (JR)
