Good whiskey can’t be rushed, and this 10 year old from Michter’s took even longer than expected to be ready, as the Louisville producer pushed back its release from 2022 to 2023. A grippy start quickly leads to maple candy, cocoa powder, and sweet berry notes, giving it a lively quality on the palate. It finishes like a good cognac, with orange peel and great length.
