Tasting notes
There is a hint of petrol character on the mix of white orchard fruit and citrus confit scented nose. The sleek, delicious and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that possess fine detail on the clean, markedly dry and sneaky long finish. Like the old vines Puligny cuvée, this will need to add depth, but the large format bottling should provide the necessary longevity for it to develop. (Heart - Outstanding)

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet La Rue Aux Vaches is the first wine Pernot has produced from fruit harvested by her team, pressed with her own vertical press. The resulting wine is promising, offering up aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, nutmeg and fresh pastry, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate that's more chiseled and tightly wound than the wines that come from the family holdings in must.
About the producer

Alvina Pernot is one of the most exciting producers of white Burgundy today. Based in Puligny-Montrachet with some incredible vineyards, this is a name to watch – creating taut and mineral styles of white Burgundy.
