Tasting notes
Another single vineyard release, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between comes from a tiny site in the northern part of the valley, located just above Eisele Vineyard in Calistoga. Incorporating a splash of Cabernet Franc and aged the standard 32 months in new barrels, this beautifully concentrated, powerful wine reveals a slightly more opaque hue compared to the other releases as well as gorgeously complex notes of blackcurrants, cassis, wild flowers, spicy oak, camphor, chocolate, and God knows what else. The Cabernet Franc gives this beauty another dimension, and this spicy, floral red has a great mid-palate, plenty of tannins, and a heady, mineral-laced blockbuster styled finish.

Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between features beautiful red roses, Ceylon tea and sandalwood notions with tar, earth and charcuterie hints in the background plus accents of iron ore, pencil shavings and forest floor. The palate is full-bodied, concentrated and firmly structured with fantastically ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness delivering a very long, vibrantly fruited finish.
