Disgorged in February 2020, there's so little of the 2012 Extra-Brut Grand Blanc that it will be reserved for a few partner restaurants and won't ever hit the market; but the wine is especially good, mingling aromas of pear and peach with notions of nougat, white flowers, clear honey and bread dough. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's a vinous, chiseled Champagne with a long, penetrating finish.

73% Pinot Noir 27% Chardonnay. Disgorged March 2021, dosage 4.5 g/l. Pale salmon. Lovely depth of flavour here. Meaty rather than fruity. Broad and beautifully integrated. Not sweet but an intense, flavourful wine that would make a great drink all by itself. Quite a bit of body. Gentle texture with a savoury finish and beautifully integrated acidity. Long. (JR)

70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay. Disgorged February 2020. Dosage 4.5 g/l. 10,206 bottles. Mainly Aÿ, Chouilly and Oger. Sumptuous nose suggests maturity though not age. Lightly savoury oak influence and really very fine indeed. Great balance. This tastes as fine and beautifully balanced as many champagnes that cost more. Clean and neat and obviously capable of further development. GV (JR)

Disgorged in February 2020 with 4.5 grams per liter dosage, the 2012 Extra-Brut Grand Cru Cuvée 1522 is already showing beautifully, unwinding in the glass with hints of golden orchard fruit, fresh peach, honeycomb and blanched almonds. Full-bodied, vinous and concentrated, it's elegantly muscular, with terrific depth at the core, racy acids and a seamless profile. Given its very recent disgorgement, it's surprisingly open, but it will nonetheless reward bottle age.
