Tasting notes
The 2019 Lanessan has a more understated bouquet, albeit well-defined and fresh. A subtle marine influence merges with the black fruit scents, just a touch of undergrowth surfacing. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, plenty of concentration here, more depth and muscle than its peers, if slightly less precision on the finish. Still a very decent wine. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Tasted blind. Some lusciousness on the nose. Energy and lift with sleek fruit, good balance and interest. (JR)
The 2019 Lanessan continues to perform very well, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet berries, licorice and fresh tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with rich, powdery tannins and a vibrant core of fruit, it's a fine effort from a property with immense potential.
