The 2011 Martian Ranch & Vineyard Syrah Red Shift is a beauty. Very fresh and lively, with textbook Syrah red and black fruits, ground pepper, loamy earth, mineral and hints of chocolate, it flows onto the palate with a medium-bodied, rich, yet lively texture that carries good acidity and solid length. It too is an outstanding wine and should shine for 4-5 years.
