Tasting notes
Remoissenet’s 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru races out of the glass with striking beauty and myriad layers of dimensions. Suave tannins wrap around the fruit, adding to a feel of effortless grace. There is a touch of new oak, but that should not be an issue once the 2018 has had time to fully come together. All of the radiance of the year comes through loud and clear. - Antonio Galloni

One of the richest, most dramatic wines in the range is the 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, a broad and powerful wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of dark chocolate, ripe cherries, warm spices and sweet soil tones. Full-bodied, fleshy and ripe, its enveloping core of fruit is underpinned by powdery, youthfully firm tannins. Stylistically, the balance here is quite reminiscent of the 1990 red Burgundy vintage.
