Tasting notes
The 2015 Cappella is a very sexy wine. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, white truffle, spice and menthol lend notable aromatic intensity. Medium in body and open-knit, the 2015 is totally alluring. Today, the Cappella is now in the early part of its drinking window. The softer style and overall structure point out how much this site has come along in recent years.

One rocking wine, the 2015 Cappella is a powerful, rich effort that has badass levels of black, black fruits, graphite, licorice, and crushed rocks. From a site on the west side of St. Helena and a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc, and 13% Petit Verdot, it has a layered, multi-dimensional, stacked profile and is just loaded with glycerin and opulence. Feel free to drink this thriller any time over the coming 3 decades or more.
The 2015 Cappella is dark, racy and voluptuous. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice and dark spice are pushed forward in a sumptuous, flamboyant wine. Today, the 2015 Cappella is decidedly somber and more inward than I have seen it in the past. Plush fruit and silky tannins add to the wine's considerable appeal, and there is plenty of that.
