2002 Duval-Leroy Femme de Champagne

A truly luxurious Champagne from the Côte des Blancs house Duval-Leroy which opens with deep toasty aromas and a grilled nut inflection. A blend of 95% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir, this was disgorged in 2021, so had almost 20 years on its lees. Despite the rich notes of warm pastry, apricot purée and baked apple, there’s a stony mineral seam that supports the opulence.
