Score 92/100 · Drink 2020-2037, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Nov 2019
Opening in the glass with notions of raspberries, plums, dark chocolate and toasty oak, the 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots is medium to full-bodied, layered and elegant, with good depth and concentration in this charming, supple vintage. While it won't ever match the 2016 and 2015 renditions, it will offer two decades of delicious drinking.

A little gamey on the nose. But lots of fresh green-fruit quality. Dramatic and more transparent than most wines from this vineyard. Exciting. Should make great old bones. Long. (JR)
