Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2030, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018

The 2016 Lutzmannsburg Alte Reben is very delicate and floral on the charmingly sweet and aromatic but pure and very elegant nose, with dark berry and lots of violet notes. Silky and elegant on the palate, this is an intense, well-concentrated and juicy Lutzmannsburg with fine but stimulating tannins, remarkable intensity and juiciness and a persistent finish. This was fermented with 30% whole bunches, aged in 500- and 600-liter barrels for 17 months and then bottled in July 2018. A great 2016! Tasted August 2018.
