Tasting notes
Intensely yellow-golden in color, the 2015 Sancerre Guigne-Chèvres opens with an intense and hedonistic bouquet of ripe (tropical) stone fruits along with toasty barbecue notes. Full-bodied, silky and intense on the palate, this is a dense, structured and powerful yet juicy-elegant Sancerre with unusual richness but still purity, minerality and tension. Wide, intense and really powerful but not at all alcoholic. Tasted in February 2021.

About the producer

Certified biodynamic, Domaine Vacheron is one of the star names in Sancerre. The estate crafts Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from single sites, using low yields and Burgundy-inspired winemaking to produce exceptionally pure, age-worthy expressions of the region that are some of its best.
