2014 Broadvale Block 6 Chardonnay

Lean, mineral and spicy, the 2014 Broadvale Block 6 Chardonnay is the lowest in alcohol here, at only 11.5%, and this shows in the rigidity of fruit flavors in the mouth. Lemongrass and thyme, lemon pith and pink grapefruit are in abundance. The finish is also very tight, and it doesn't have the opportunity to open up, such is the grasp of the acid on the fruit. It has a time-capsule quality about it, and I wonder just how long this wine will live. I suspect a very long time indeed. 11.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
