Tasting notes
Now that it is in bottle, the 2017 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Lesquerde l'Esquerda boasts heady aromas of super ripe plums and hints of crushed stone. It's full-bodied, richly concentrated, velvety-textured and brushes dangerously close to over-ripeness, ending on notes of dried spices and chocolate fudge. Drink it young.

The 2017 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Lesquerde L'Esquerda always offers slightly more freshness and purity, and that's the case in 2017 as well. Northern Rhône-like notes of juicy blackberries, black raspberries, peppery herbs, violets, and bouquet garni all flow to a ripe, sexy, rounded wine that has sweet tannin, beautiful purity, and a great finish. It's a seamless, elegant wine.
